Did you know incarcerated females are at high-risk of recruitment into sex trafficking? Traffickers often have women working in the prisons to recruit women into sex trafficking upon re-entry. The Indiana Department of Corrections has identified this as a current issue and is partnering with Kristy’s House and other organizations to create a prevention program for incarcerated females and re-entry program upon release so that women will have other options, resources, and support as they attempt to re-enter society, take care of themselves and their children, and transition into healthier lifestyles and decision-making.
